Work has been completed on the complete renovation and extension of a Grade II listed farm house on the outskirts of Huddersfield. Planning was granted for a new two storey side extension clad in Siberian larch with a metal roof and glazed link providing a contrast with the original stone of the farmhouse.

 

The Siberian larch is specially coated in order to accelerate the ageing process creating a soft grey finish. To further accentuate the new from the old a glazed link at first floor was introduced creating a clear break and providing views out over the surrounding countryside.
