Refurbishment, Leeds, West Yorkshire

A full refurbishment and extension has been completed on an original 1960's detached house in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The property had several unsympathetic rear conservatories added in the 1990's and was in need of modernisation throughout.

Taking a holistic approach a full appraisal was undertaken of the property with a view to significantly improving the aesthitics as well as the energy efficiecy of the house.

All raised timber floors were insualted with a new insulated concrete floor to the rear installed. Externally insualted render was applied along with areas of cladding used to help break up the mass. A new roof was fitted with further insualtion within the void and new black metal windows installed all to create a significantly improved thermally efficent dwelling.
