Contemporary extension to Grade II Listed House, Leeds

Planning and Listed Building consent was granted for the modern extension and remodeling of a Grade II listed dwelling in the North of Leeds.

Located within a conservation area in the heart of one of the historic suburbs of Leeds the proposals looked to create additional living acommodation for the client which connected with the garden.

Through a detailed appraisal and design development approval was granted for a single strorey extension which links seamlessley with the existing house whist creating a kitchen and living area which benefits from large amounts of natural light and views of the garden.

The property has a garden that is split by a rear access lane and so high level glazing was introduced that enables views of the garden to be seen from the extension due to the sloping topography.

Clad in burnt timber with natural stone and a large expanse of glazing the extension fits seamlessley within the site and wider conservation area.
